Revising Sentences

Today I have been learning about the word DRAFT. DRAFT is like a acrostic poem. Each letter of this word means something in writing. Today we have been focusing on the D.D stands for delete. In class Miss Paton shared with us a piece of writing in which we had to delete, take out words and change sentences. Here is my piece of of writing.
Miss Paton’s copy

Miss Paton has a cat. His name is Oscar. He is a tabby cat. Oscar can be a pain in the neck. He likes to sniff my rubbish bin. He always come to my house wanting food. Oscar likes to fall asleep on my couch. He does not like my laptop computer. He would rather sit on my lap. Oscar would like me to give him the attention.

Whats in my lunch box?

What's in my lunch box?

Is your lunch a healthy lunch? Why / Why Not?

What was the healthiest?
I think the yogurt was the healthiest because they don’t have that much sugar in them.

What was the least healthy and why?
I think the least healthiest was the muesli bar, chocolate biscuit and the Twisties (chips). The biscuits have chocolate chips in them and the Twisties (chips) have salt in them.

What is missing from your lunch box?
What is missing is meat, sandwich and fruit and vegetables. Those are the foods that are missing from my lunch box.

Making Anzac Biscuit recount

By Tai Making ANZAC biscuit I was so super excited today because we made Anzac biscuits with my two teachers Miss Paton and Mr Engineer. We made them on Thursday June 4th. I said to my friend Caesar I am so excited. The first ingredient was 100 grams of butter. Miss Paton cut a little bit and then Mele cut the rest. Mr Engineer was the photo man. It was his job to take the photos. The next ingredient was the golden syrup. We put the butter into a pot and then we added the golden syrup to it. The golden syrup was for the golden brown colour and flavour. Me and Nazanin were chosen to go with Miss Paton to go to the hall kitchen. We went to the hall kitchen to melt the butter and golden syrup. Nazanin stirred the pot first and I did it after her. Miss Paton took some photos. Mr Engineer had to read to the rest of the kids in the classroom. The syrup and the butter started to smell like popcorn. Me, Miss Paton and Nazanin went back to class. When we got back everybody ran to the table. Then Avalon put ¾ cup of rolled oats into the red big bowl. Then Joshua put a ½ cup of white flour into the bowl. Then Miss Paton put ½ a teaspoon of baking soda into the measuring cup. Then she added two tablespoons of hot boiling water into the measuring cup with the the baking soda. She added it to the melted butter and golden syrup. Najib put ¾ of a cup of coconut into the bowl and stirred it around a bit. I was excited to have a stir the ingredients because I only had one job to do. It was finally my turn to stir. I was about to eat the mixture but I wasn't allowed to. The biscuit dough was finally ready to be rolled. Miss Paton made one biscuit and she patted it down with a fork. After that she grabbed a ruler and measured 4 cm. The biscuits had to be 4 cm apart. Miss Paton had to measure it so the biscuits could be bigger. Miss Paton chose Aung Naing, Taylor and Liam to go with her to the hall Kitchen. Liam, Aung Naing and Taylor would take the trays to the hall kitchen and would get Mrs Smith to put the Anzac Biscuits in the oven. They had to wait for 10 minutes for the biscuits to cook. Mr Engineer read a story to the rest of us in the classroom. Aung Naing, Liam, Taylor and Marsha scraped them off the tray and brought them back. Miss Paton and Taylor brought back the plates of biscuits. I was so excited because the ANZAC biscuits were ready. Miss Paton said we had to wait until lunch time. Yes It was finally lunch time when I ate my first Anzac biscuit. I thought I could fly to heaven and jump over the moon.
